RAC wanting to sell cover - you will have been a previous member with a cancelled subscription to get a ring from them. Take my advice and tell them tp get lost, You can get cover far cheaper elsewhere and do not succumb to the scare tactics these leaches operate by
RAC renewal letter follow-up call. I asked if he was from RAC or a call centre. He assured me he was RAC. I renewed, (at a massive reduction as I told him I was going elsewhere due to phenomenal increase). I then immediately called the number printed on my renewal letter to confirm. Confirmed as genuine - even told me the name of the agent who called me a few minutes before.
Just called RAC on their advertised # who confirmed the guy I spoke to was legit, But the 0203 guy just seemed odd. I think they are making the calls for sales without checking that you've already got a renewal arranged (I spoke to somebody only a fortnight ago to go through exactly the same details he was asking for).
Harassment do not pick up. Claim to be rac but when I've reported the call to the RAC they have no knowledge of who this caller is. They ask for money to renew our policy but how did they manage to get our detail's? A scam block these calls
I never actually answered this call as presumed it was spam but after reading the feedback on here, Firstly, I'm glad i didn't answer but secondly, Now concerned about my data as, I am also an RAC member, So how have they got hold of my data from RAC?
They called me pretending to be from the r a c... Saying if I pay my renewal early, Thel give me extra cover free.... They had my payment amount, Name, And policy number... I asked a few questions... Then hung up and called r a c breakdown.... The race said it wasn't them calling.... So where have they got my info from?
