Scammers which I got scammed by!! Do not answer

The same situation. She said I need to pay 1900£ if I don't want to go to jail and directed me to Ministry of Justice website to confirm that the phone number is valid. She asked me about my savings account etc. And forced to pay ASAP. I didn't and just hanged up.

Hi, I recently received the call from a Tax Office, a woman was talking to me, and said that with the use of my identity were conducted money laundering. She connected me with the Ministry of Justice, the number called, and after I refused to make a transaction another woman convicted me in a crime and said that I will go to jail. Seems the scammers hacked the phone number, as it is the only evidence that all these is genuine.

A guy in the name of Peter Patel called me from this number and said there is a poilice arrest warrant issued for me for not paying taxes. He gave an HMRC ID number, Warrant ID number and few other information and said the phone call is being recorded. He said from today onwards the BRPs, Bank ACs, will be freezed until the case is resolved. Then offered me with 02 options, to hire a ciriminal lawyer and fight the case against the ministry or to settle the amount of 1200GBP which shows as due

The guy called me and said he is officer James Thomson.. He was blackmailing me, sating if I am not going to pay, he will call police in 15min, froze my passport, bank account and I will go to jail for 15days and pay 39k charges to solicitors!!

Hello, I just received the same call. The guy said he is from Tax office and requested for all sort of information. Had the same situation as the comments here. Firstly was called by a man from a different (private) number saying I haven’t been paying my taxes and I have a warrant. When I asked why is he not calling me from an official number he said I’ll get a call from it shortly. Then another private number called me with a man saying he’s from the finance department and they’ll soon call me from an official number. All this time they were saying that if I hung up I’d be arrested in the next 45 minutes?! 3

I was just called and threatened. A robocall stated that this was the Court and that I had a judgement against me, and to press one to be put through. Just called the MOJ myself. They got their number cloned. They are fully aware of this scam. They said don't call, neither does HMRC

Received a similar call from John David with the HMID number and threatened me not to hang up else I would be arrested with 14 days custody. I was lucky enough to realize this is a scam call and did not pay them, They were adamant to pay £798 and when I questioned him he hung up. This need to be escalated.

I just had them call and say I owe £1486 and they'd sent letters and now they've got a warrant for my arrest for tax evasion and tax fraud, they gave info such as my arrest warrant number, case number etc, they said I had two options to this court and pay for a criminal lawyer where I'd have to spend £2900 if I lost. I asked them to confirm my recent tax code and they couldn't. But then said to Google the ministry of justices number and confirm it with them, and then group called with this hack

Scammer with an indian accent said I had to pay £2, 000 in taxes immediately. He was persistent and rude to me. It was terrible, my husband overheard this conversation and sent him away

Called saying I have a warrant out when i said that's a lie I am a police officer she hung up then a man called me back 9 times shouting abuse until I blocked him. This is a Indian call centre scam!

Had a voicemail from the HMRC Inland Revenue, got a call from an indian guy 02033343555 claiming to be from the Ministry of Justice and if I didnt pay, there would be very serious consequences. This is a scam people. THE INLAND REVENUE DO NOT CALL PEOPLE.

I was called by this indian guy during work where they said that I have an issue with my income tax and that there is a court case on my name for money laundering - he sounded very legit until he asked me to pay now on the phone and show him my ID or go to jail, hung up the phone on him without giving a single XXXXXX

My daughter called my crying that this number called, they knew her name and asked for her address to confirm her identity, the man with an Indian accent threatened her to pay for her student visa or she will go to jail, they asked for bank details and then she (fortunately) smelt a rat and asked him to hang up. She has reported this number to HMRC and blocked this number. She was very upset and now concerned that she gave too much information and is worrying. If anyone finds an address for this

Big time Scammers - very convincing, they claim to be Ministry of Justice, and even take you to the webside and switch their phone number to match the MOJ. Ogv. Uk website. they then say you are in huge trouble and need to pay them on the phone, and that its not a scam because they are not asking for your bank details, but they ask you to transfer the money to a random account...

They pretend to be Military of Justice UK, and force you to send money to them!

It's a scam. A guy called me first from 07485553300, and then from 02033343555. He said he is Officer Michael XXXXXXX, from HRMC, Ministry of Justice. He has Indian accent. They told me I have to pay taxes £1987 in taxes or I would get arrested today. He gives plenty of details and numbers (like number of the cases), and tells you need to get a solicitor and fight the case in court. Don't fall for it.

I got scammed badly from this number. First I got a call from 07433541495 and told me that i owed money to HMRC due to mis calculated Tax. Then I told how I can veryfy as the number is a mobile number. Then that man with a thick indian accent tole me that he will take the call from misnitry of justice line and asked me to google that number to verify it. They say money owed from miscalculated tax and take action to make sure criminal proceedings and possible prison time. Not as clever as they think they are, but people may fall for this - hopefully this would help someone. Call the hmrc directly

They lie about your taxes being miscalculated and then threaten you by saying they have a warrant for your arrest and police are coming to you. If you refuse to comply they say police is coming to your house in 45. Scamming losers avoid wasting your time

I was called by this number and asked to confirm personal details concerning my name and address to which they attempted to claim that I had unresolved tax payments. Was called and told that I has a warrant out for my arrest for not paying my tax, but my employer pays my tax. They wanted over £2000. I just hung up and they tried calling me again, but I hung up again they haven't tried again yet

DO NOT TRUST HUGE SCAM! they called me this morning from a 07 number identifying as the Ministry of Justice. I've had the same call this morning. Firstly from 07801673161 and then from this one. Same as comment above, Warrant out for my arrest for tax evasion. £35, 000 fine plus 3 years prison. I gave them false name and address and details and they told me "dont give me wrong info". I like trying to scam a scammer! BEWARE Indian Call Centres!

Scammers told me I have a warrant under my name and that I am not allowed to enter the country. Almost pressed charges of 1975 sterling pounds and told me that I am a runaway without paying taxes after I told her I am not currently in the country. She only started making things up after I told her I am not currently in the country.

They will call you with different numbers before forwarding you to +44 2033343555. Two women answered, They will say you have completed your self assessment wrong and that you have to pay back 2379£ or so! Then they will ask you how much you have on your bank account if you don’t have enough money and that they don’t accept Barclays.
