Computer voice... I think it’s supposed to be HMRC (same content as other alleged HMRC calls listed) but that bit is missing otherwise it’s threatening some sort of legal action if you don’t call back to this hotline. HMRC NEVER LEAVE ANSWERPHONE MESSAGES... Total scam... IGNORE IT!
Received a voice message at 2:22 today:
"Office of Margaret Peters from Inland Revenue. The hotline to my division is 020 3314XXXX I repeat I is 020 3314XXXX do not disregard this message and call us back if you do not call us back or we don't hear from your solicitor either then get ready to face the legal consequences. Goodbye"
As already commented HMRC call quite convincing saying it is urgent that you call back. Don’t really think HMRC would have an American accent - do you. Totally a scam. Just delete and do not respond!!!
