I answered the phone but nobody on the line. I checked the number with 1471 but when I tried was told the number was not recognised. I conclude therefore that this is a scam call and report it as such

Phoned my direct line at work, Asked for my wife. When I said she wasn't available the bloke hung up.

Said washing machine insurance about to expire. Asked the make and the reply was Hotpoint. We have never owned a Hotpoint.

A man called -just like one other of the comments -said my washing machine cover was about to expire. He hung up when I relayed this to my husband!

Not my insurers hung up when I questioned

Nobody there when I picked up the telephone - after a short wait holding a dead line, There was a tapped message saying "goodbye"

Asked who was calling, They said it was about my washing machine insurance, I told them that was funny because I don't have any insurance on my washing machine and they hung up! Definite scammers

02032924512 called today no-one there. Not surprised as BT tell me that there is no such number. Try calling it. The recorded voice after the beep/beep/beep signal says "the number you have called has not been recognised". I have therefore recorded this as a Scammer, Why else would the caller have used a recognised/registered number?
