Came up as spam on my phone so searched it up on here. I'm not with octopus energy and haven't applied for a smart meter so obviously not a trust worthy caller. Would recommend hanging up on them and calling back a verified octopus number to be safe.

Don’t pay them anything login to your online to pay it’s an inside job. Don’t even call octopus to confirm they will say yes because it’s inside job go online but make sure u login don’t just use a link they sent you. Make sure you login to see your real balance not a made up one.

The pretend to be Octopus but I don't believe it is. The operator asked for the installation of a smart meter, and I had it installed 10 months ago. After she asked me if it is the 2nd generation of smart meter when I suppose Octopus should know it. Last she tryed to book an appointment I don't know for what, and said there was no appointments available and suddenly hang the phone without more explanation.

Calling after their office hours looking for my security question answers. I said no I’d call them myself and he tried to give me a number to call I said no I’ll google the number myself. He kept trying to talk so I hung up
