See who's calling

Just had a call from this number, He said he was Nick xxxxxxx and I was entitled to £1826 PPI refund. All approved and would take 6 months to come through from the English Claim Services - financial Ombudsman. He asked me to confirm my name and address when he quoted them to me, And when he asked me to confirm my DOB I asked him what date he had and then he hung up.

Had one of these calls today, You can clearly hear it's an busy office background and then the phone goes dead. Timewasters.

Woman asked if Mr. ------- was available. I said no and asked 'what is it about please?' She put the phone down. Annoying.

SCAM - avoid!! He has a heavy Asian accent and says you are entitled to PPI compensation. He will try to extract personal information from you. DO NOT divulge. Tell him to eff off!

No one answered at the other end.

Scam. Started off by explaining PPI was due to me for approx. £1800 but the government would deduct around 40%. Only way to prevent this deduction is by taking out a tax free investment eg. Life insurance (convenient). Then proceeded to attempt to sell me life insurance, Passed me through to 3 individuals. When I told them I was happy for the government to deduct the 40% and receive the balance they hung up

Had a call claiming that my PPI had come though and owed £1826. 40. The chap said he was Eric Johnson but didn't really sound like an Eric. His government ID was: EJ786 yes of course it is. He wanted my date of birth to confirm he was speaking to the right person, I refused to give him this he asked a number of times then hung up. I really hate these calls such parasites.

Claim to be from a goverment agency with an claim already passed for payment.. When i refused to give my date of birth as confirmation they hang up.

Asking to verify personal details re PPI

They pretend to be some kind of UK government body but they r passing phone call to each other and all they want is to sell life insurance

Claim to be calling from New England Claim services, Talked about PPI then hung up when I began to question where they had been give my file from.

Call all odd times.
