‘Vivo insurance’ called me and told me I’d been involved in an accident. A third party apparently crashed into me and the caller asked me to confirm. Worryingly the caller knew my full name and of course telephone number and abruptly asked me to answer yes or no to the above question I answered by asking what was the vehicle registration number involved, to which the female caller frustratedly replied ‘why should i answer you?’ She then reeled off some half hearted data protection act statement.
Cold call. They said I had a car accident, so I went along with it. When they asked what car I was driving, I said a bulldozer, 24T T6. The scouser called me a f****** p****, and put the phone down. I really wanted to say, 'XXXXX XXXXX', but I didn't get the chance...

Caller: ah yes my system as updated, I can see that you have recently caused a car accident and wanted to check if....
Me: I can’t drive for xyz health reason
Caller: wow you have some f’d up problems *hangs up*
This number called me after I had a car accident from an unknown company, It was a cold call. All of the details they had for me were incorrect which raised big red flags. It’s also been months after the incident. The female telephone advisor went on to be very rude and mocked me during the call then threatened that her manager would call me next as a telling off.
