Stop spam calls

I told the woman that she is breaking the law to call my number without my permission. She begged to differ telling me this is not a cold call and she said that she will get someone to call me back to assure me. I also told her that I am 100% sure its a cold call because my number is a work number and not a personal one that I do not use for pleasure.

I answered the call. A female asked my name and then rang off. Don't know who or why they called.

As is so often the case, Immediately upon answering the line goes dead. From an experienced Marketing guy, That is a plain idiotic method of handling calls - they dial multynumbets and if all their agents are busy when we answer, Instead of playing a message they just cut the call, Which is why so many people no longer answer unfamiliar numbers. The result is clear, Telephone marketing is dying by its own hands and very few will mourn it passing...
