Started by sending text then followed by telephone call, knew straight away was a scam with the guy in other end speaking perfect English….. Suggested I check the number on reverse of my credit card for confirmation of number which of course us same as the number they are supposedly calling from. Be careful very convincing byte is a scam…..

Extracted some information and pushed for more. The dangerous part of this is that the caller was able to say "look at the phone number written on the back of your Barclaycard" - and, indeed, it is the same number ("or if abroad +44 1604 269 900").
