Completely legit. I'd accidentally left the 'don't contact me by phone' box unchecked when signing a Greenpeace petition so got a phone call. Very nicely spoken young man on the call. I decided to support through Direct Debit, which meant that he only needed bank account number and sortcode, no other personal stuff. I also asked for them to take me off their phone list. Hopefully I won't be bothered by more calls asking me to up my donations.

It is a legit Greenpeace fundraising campaign, they gave me a phone number to Greenpeace support team. They knew my name and details from a Greenpeace survey I did in the past. The person was member of Thirtyone campaigning team. Thirtyone are an important extension of the Greenpeace team, making a direct difference to their campaigns by inspiring thousands of people every year to commit to Greenpeace’s mission. Every successful call we make is a step closer to saving our planet, our fundraiser

It’s a genuine Greenpeace donation call.

Scam or not we have to treat it as such! Cold calling to ask for donations is very suspicious.

Legitimate Greenpeace fundraising, seemed like a very nice person not a scam.

Legitimate fundraising call. The caller gave me Greenpeace's supporter services details so I immediately called Greenpeace who were able to confirm it's legitimately linked to them.

I donated once and now they are calling for more support / donation

Was called asking for a donation over the phone request my bank details.. It’s obviously a scam! If you want to donate to Greenpeace do it on the website. BEWARE!

Telemarketing for donation money of £3 per month by direct debit. Who knows whether they are who they say they are?

It’s greenpeace it’s not a scam! I called greenpeace’s number via their website to confirm - they said they have a charity team who call off this number and they confirmed. All safe.

It IS Greenpeace. Why because it’s in Norwich is it a scam? Why because someone is Asian it’s a scam? They called me today.

‘Greenpeace’ talking about a petition I had signed - threw me off as I have signed one but when they continued to talk I soon realised it was just a scam and hung up. Norwich/England number.

Greenpeace looking for money and thanking me for signing a petition? I knew this was a scam call and hung up immediately!

Lengthy call saying I had signed a petition. Asking me if I knew this and that. Had to stop her as going on too long and no intention of giving them money which was obviously where the call was going.

Alegedly Greenpeace because of a petition I signed recently and wanted to tell me how I could help further. I never give my phone number in petitions, and I've never given my number to Greenpeace. I told them that I do not want to be contacted by phone and that they should drop me an email instead. They hung up immediately.

This Norwich UK Landline phone number 01603983037 phoned me claiming to be Greenpeace. The Asian man went on to say the call was in relation to a petition I signed and about a money donation I sent them that was Declined, and wanted me to pay him the donation again with a link he had prepared of which I refused. After the call ended I logged in to my bank and found the payment paid to Greenpeace had already cleared. Reported To Police And Action Fraud.

Greenpeace have called me multiple times on this number because I signed an online petition over 3 years ago. Despite telling them that I have no interest in donating, they keep calling every week or so.

Green peace called out of the blue because I put my name on a petition 2 years ago!! Wanted me to to set up D/D to support other causes. If wanted to I already would have!!

If this is Greenpeace it makes sense as I have been in touch via a petition. Didn't answer the call

They called me and said something about GreenPeace and then said is this ‘my name’

If this is Greenpeace who i give to, I will cancel my regular donatios

I have inscribed from these numbers as it was getting to the stage they were all looking for donations if I had given to them all I would have needed donations for myself.
