Says from Vodafone and sounds like a friendly NZ call centre person but hung up on me when I didn’t want to provide licence number… gave me a weird email address like vodafoneid@unity something that I could email instead.
Block this number - they claim to be calling from Vodafone with a deal that's obviously too good to be true, and they give you an unofficial email address to send your proof of identity to
Claimed to be from Vofadone for an offer of $25 pm for unlimited data. Asked for drivers licence or passport details. Already knew my name and phone number.
Called me 3 times throughout the day and I didn’t pick up, it wasn’t in my location area so I ignored it. Left a voice message if complete silence in the last call
Went to answer and it was dead silence.. First sign of a scam. Now they ring a cuplee times a day (bloody hoha's!!) But my phone auto rejects it as 'Suspected spam'
Claimed to be someone from Vodafone, but clearly they were not. I asked for an email copy of the "deal" they were offering ($25 a month for unlimited data, texts, minutes etc) and they instead offered to call me back at a later time. Then I checked the number on here because that deal was way too good to be true 😂
Claims they're from Vodafone, offered me an cheaper plan than my current $20 one. I don't have a $20 plan. They clearly assumed wrong information, because they're not from Vodafone.
Vodafone will never call a customer offering plan upgrades.
I got a call just now, was wondering why they are calling from Whangarei, they said they were from Vodafone and started asking the age, etc. I thanked and said I was not keen on any deals and hung up.
They called me claiming to be vodafone, and so I asked, how can you prove to me that is so? They were telling me to go to some vodafone help link, but wanted me to type it exactly as they were saying. I refused, and instead went to the normal vodafone site, and clicked help from there asking them to show me from there... They insisted they could not and that I must type their link exactly.
Dodgy as heck! Vodafone... if this really is you, get a better system to confirm your numbers. Security
The caller claimed calling from Vodafone and tried to sell me a plan. But as soon as I said I’m happy with the current plan and not planning to change, she hung up quickly.
