Wanting banking information to give a carbon emission credit

Told me that they were calling about home owners warranty and carbon tax credit. I said that I wasn't a homeowner. Obvious scam-gov't doesn't phone to give away money!

Claim to be from Ontario warranty service had my name and address and said I was entitled to free service as a home owner and also receive a carbon tax credit. I asked why the government would be contacting me by phone. He replied it would be to expensive to do it by mail. Haha I told him it was nothing but a scam and hung up. No one calls you over the phone to give you something for free especially the government!!!!

Claimed to be Ontario warranty service. I asked how they got my number, They said by using 411 service. I said that this call was being recorded, 5 seconds later they hung up. Ahhhhhh, But I wanted to keep talking.

This foreign lady saying she is from Ontario warranty services. They had the last name right. Scam do not give banking info out.

This is a scammer - they are trying to get you banking info.

SCAM. Said they were calling from the Ontario warranty services. I checked the actual Ontario warranty services number online and its not this one. (Also they were calling for me and I don't own a house.)

I got a call from this number today and they claimed they were from the "Ontario Warranty" association. Complete scam.

Selling home owners warranty. No idea about this program.

Claim they are with ontario warranty association and ask for deposit info for carbon credit deposit.

They call on behalf of the so-called Ontario Warranty services, Asking your bank account number where they can deposit 85$ as a discount given to some home owners.
