I received 5 calls in one hour and when I called back, an indian guy even he cannot understand my name, asked my name three times and then I spelled. He asked my personal information such as birth date instead of providing why did he called me. I refused to provide my birth date and told him you seem scammer and he just said Ok and turned off his phone. Be Careful, when bank called you, they have your information and they will tell you why they called you.
I got a call from "Scotiabank" (their caller ID is Scotiabank as well). They said i still have an outstanding balance of 500 something from my car loan. Im like thats impossible, i never missed a payment. So i asked for the dates when i missed it. So i was passed on to another guy. And this guy was asking for my information like how much i pay, the model of the car i have. I said, you guys called me, you should know all of my information. They said its for security purpose. Im like wtf are you t
Im no longer with scotia bank. Havent been for years. They knew my name and wanted to update my longer info. I said I didnt have one. They kept insisting. When I said I was call They bank I delt with. He got extremely agressive. IT A BIG SCAM
I just would like to know how they got our information from Scotia, regarding our loan with the bank.
I phoned them back, and they didn't even answer the phone in a professioanl manner. They said "umm... Scotiabank, I'm calling... Oh, thank you for calling scotiabank".....I said are you sure you're scotiabank????
Fucking XXXXXX..... It bothers me that they may hit an elderly person who may think they are in trouble with the bank,.....
The man on the phone claimed to be from Scotia bank. He knew mine and my fiancés name and how much we currently owe for our mortgage payment. When I told him I was going to call him back he got very aggressive and didn’t want me to hang up. Be very careful. I’m not sure how they’re getting peoples info like this, but it’s unacceptable.
Comes up as SPAM. My husband answered it and the man said his name was Tom from Scotiabank. He said thar a payment was overdue and there is no payment history(I recently made a partial payment) he knew my husbands name and how much is overdue.
I plan to report this to the bank.
Be careful
She said that I had a loan that was overdue, and said my name accurately. When I said that I did not have the Scotiabank bank's business, she suggested that I check it out with the bank.
They claim to be Scotiabank, calling in regards to an urgent personal matter. When calling back, they even have copied Scotiabank's welcome message. They know my name, but I'm not a Scotiabank customer.
