My opinion is that any call from a toll-free number is a scam. They're calling you without your permission in order to try to sell you something. I NEVER answer them. If it's important, they'll leave a voicemail. If they don't, scam confirmed.
Everyone who thinks this is a scam is wrong. It is an official number. I went to a telus store to get the person on the phone verified. They set me up with a legit account number at Telus, and provided a great deal. It almost did seem to good to be true so I asked them to call me back when I could make it to a Telus store. They did exactly that.
Called to offer a promotional rate plan much better than publicly offered, knew information about previous account with Telus and Public, Left a note on my old Telus account so I could call in and verify identity before giving identifying information over the phone, got me signed up with Koodo on a plan half the cost of their current advertised ones to win me back.
Appeared on my call display as KOODO LOYALTY. Offered a refurbished tablet at 0 cost because of my time with Koodo. All I needed to do was pay a $15 monthly subscription for data. I declined and was told they did not want to leave the call without anything so they were going to email me with a link to a health app. All they needed was my email. I once again declined and was told they would use the email on file and that I would also get a call satisfaction survey (I have yet to receive either).
I never answer my phone from strange numbers especially not at 9 at night. I Google searched the number and found this website and immediately blocked the number. Thank you.
The number came up saying Koodo. They called me by name, and said they could make me some offers on my plan. I told them I would listen. The offers were "majorly discounted", too good to be true. Don't be fooled, they were extremely polite and convincing. Checked this website and my suspicions were right, they were trying to scam me with Koodo as a veil.
Called saying they have an exclusive family or spouse plans. Ask for an email for more info but stated that it was a limited private deal. Seems fishy.
They called me and they said that they were Koodo and wanted me to come back to Koodo and offered me a deal and asked for my credit card and social security number. I don’t know if this is a scam?
Got a call from this number at 7:55pm
July 28, 2020. My phone rang and as soon as I answered it and said hello they hung up on me. Probably another scam robo call. Wonder if they do that to everyone on the phone?
