This number keeps calling me once or twice everyday, I do not respond. when I respond to similar calls they hangup, I think they are confirming it is an active number and selling to telemarketers I have registered my number as private 4 moths ago, why this is happening.

Claimed to want to talk to me about my current plan that was due to expire ( I’m 3 months in to a 24 month contract with Telstra ) wanted me to answer security questions and then give them a bank card number with CCV so that could confirm it was the same payment method I used for the duration of my contract. When questioned as to which card I had used I gave two fake card numbers and they told me it was the second one I hung up
