Scam text. Says that a package was undeliverable and would get back to me. I have packages but none from the website link within the text

Text message from the mobile above with the same message - unpaid customs fee asking for credit cards details via a professional looking "IPS" (not UPS) site.

"Update - Your item has been held..... Unpaid import fees... Resolve the issue here...." the website link forwards to different site which is blocked by Antivirus saying 'Attackers might be trying to steal your information from packetau. Completesurvey. Top (for example, Passwords, Messages, Or credit cards).'

I got the same scam message and am glad I looked further. I’ve never heard of having to pay a seperate customs charge, And the website said ‘IPS’ instead of ‘UPS’ The phone number was +61 406 726 XXX

I got the same message while I had a few packages on the way and the postie just delivered. I didn't click on the link because it says "ur" not "your" and I'm glad because it seems to be a scam. We also don't use UPS here so that's another clue. If the message doesn't seem like it makes sense, Looks for any spelling mistakes or things they say that don't line up. These idiots won't get us if we think smart.

Just an additional comment; I recieved exactly the same message in French saying that they could not deliver because of outstanding €2 of customs duties. The tracking number was identicalUPS016448296GB the message came via SMS from portable number 06 20 90 61 36. I am in France

I'm in Ireland, Nothing to do with Australia, But was expecting a USPS package from the States from a family member. I received the text from IEUPS-SMS (can't see the number, Just the name), With the same message as below. "There is an update on your parcel. Item stopped due to unpaid customs fee. Follow the instructions here: XXXXXX". Looks legit at first, It threw me off due to the very low customs fee (€1. 50), And also the same tracking number "UPS016448XXXXX" which naturally didn't

Just received the same, And as above, Couldn't think of anything coming from GB so I googled. Thankfully.

Had the same text. Made sure all my packages weren't pending for delivery or being delivered, And if they were I'd email or contact the company directly through the shopping app like Amazon or Ebay about this message before doing anything with this message.

Received a message on mine and my wife number. I clicked on the link from my mobile and it say $3 is pending and page looked like from UPS, However, It doesn't display secure details. I opened in safe browser and the link will not work. As the delivery number is same as other post, This is 100% a scam. I've had the same message with the same ups number. Clever because I was expecting a package. It had already been delivered though. I'm suspecting they are intercepting text messages which advise of an imminent delivery. I'm in Australia.

I received the same message reported below, But from a different phone number (0411 934 XXX). It seems the scammers have ditched the old number for a new one, But the illegitimate UPS number remains.

Think you are paying for customs to deliver a parcel and then it directs you at the end to say you have opened a gaming account but you have put in delivery address mobile number email and bank details to pay

Fake UPS delivery. Needs custom charge scam.

Yep. Looks like a scam. Just got this and I live in NZ. SMS text came when I was not waiting for any delivery and that got me suspicious. When I did some search online on my other device and my search indicated that it was not genuine. Do not open link if you receive it.
