Caution
My computer froze with multiple windows giving a critical alert from windows and that my computer is blocked. Only option given was to call Microsoft support, Windows help on 02 8660 XXXX. I did not call.

SCammers My laptop was frozen accompanied by a loud incessant pop up message telling me NOT to shut my computer down with all kinds of threats if I did. The message directed me to a fake "Microsoft / Google" support number 028660XXXX. I asked him where he was based. He replied in California. When I asked him why he was on a Sydney number he gave me a vague answer. He asked me if I shop online, And what kind of activities I conduct on my laptop. He wanted me to allow them access. They asked me if I shop online, And who do I bank with, And my name. They wanted me to allow them access via AnyDesk and I hung up on them after I had googled their number. He sounded like he was on XXXXX looking for his next victim
